Into the Woods

I spend the last three days in the woods. Specifically redwoods, and more precisely, Hendy Woods. It’s a state park in Mendocino county, near Boonville and Philo, about 15 miles from the ocean. Route 128 meets Route 1 there, going up to Fort Bragg or veering left towards San Francisco, along the coast, above the Navarro beach.

I remembered all the times we’ve done it with the Black Pine Circle 8th graders. I love going to the woods with the kids.
